How Do I Book a Food Truck?

If you’re looking to book a food truck for an event, you've come to the right place. Roaming Hunger is the nation's largest network of mobile caterers, and we can help you out with several event types.

What can I book with Roaming Hunger?

Food Truck Catering
- This means that you (the host) are paying for the food truck to feed your guests.
- This is common for weddings, private parties, corporate events, etc.
- Payment is inclusive of travel, setup, and fees. Gratuity is not included.
- After you fill out your information, you’ll receive an email with further information that is specific to your type of event.

Why should I book with Roaming Hunger?

How much does it cost to book?

For catering, you should have a budget before submitting your event. Once submitted, interested food trucks will bid on your event with a catering package. Depending on the vendor, you may receive bids that are below your budget and some that are above.

If you don’t receive any bids, it may be that there aren’t many food trucks in our system for your location, or your budget is too small.

How does this work?

1. Register Your Event

The best way to get started is to enter your event information into our system. This does not commit you to book, but it does get your information to the best department and representative to assist.

When you submit this form, you can specify details, such as:

Who Is Paying? Host or Attendees?
One-Time Service or Recurring?
Date(s), Time(s), and Location(s)
Number of Guests
Your Budget (If Catering)
What Cuisine Type(s) You Want to Book

2. Turnaround Time

For catering events, once we send your event out to food trucks in your area, they will have 48 hours to bid on your event. At the end of that period, you will receive a proposal with all the vendors who have applied to your event, including price and menu.

For vending events, food trucks have 48 hours to apply to connect with you. At the end of that period, you will receive a proposal with all the vendors who have applied, and you can choose which ones to connect with based on their information.

IMPORTANT: Unless you have chosen to have Roaming Hunger manage your event, you will work directly with the vendor after this. Roaming Hunger cannot guarantee that the vendor will show up to a self-managed event.

3. What if no one has applied at the end of 48 hours?

You may either resubmit your event information to bring in a new selection of vendors or check out our managed catering option.

Do you only work with food trucks?

Many of the vendors in our network offer multiple services, including pop-up, drop-off, and traditional forms of catering. Please specify if you want an alternative service style when you register your event.
