How Does Roaming Hunger Work?

Welcome to Roaming Hunger! We are the nation's largest network of mobile food vendors, dedicated to helping your business grow. Here are some common questions we get from first-time visitors:

Why should I register my business with Roaming Hunger?

The Roaming Hunger platform can accommodate many different goals for business growth:
  • Gain access to catering and vending events that may not be posted anywhere else.
  • We protect your payment in case an event cancels.
  • Use our tools: post your service locations, create proposals with our software, and more.

What will it cost me?

There are no setup or membership fees to sign up with Roaming Hunger.

  • Catering Events: The amount you bid is the amount you get paid. We do not take deductions or fees for catering events.
  • Vending Events: Large vending events may require a booking fee and revenue share. If an event has a fee, it will be posted on that event lead.
  • Our Software Tools: It is free for you to use our software to post your locations and manage your own leads.

I don't have a truck; can I still sign up?

We work with trailers, carts, bicycles, tents, and even caterers without a vehicle who do dropoff or buffet style. If you can get your food from Point A to Point B, we have opportunities for you.

(Note: We do not currently have a system in place for catering by boat or helicopter.)

How do I book?

We receive over 3,000 new event leads a week. After qualifying them, we will post leads from your city on your Dashboard. Here's how to apply:

  • Catering Events: Submit a Package
    • Create custom packages from your menu items. You'll submit these packages for catering events, and the event host will make their decision from all submitted packages.
  • Vending Events: Submit Your Profile
    • When you apply for a vending event, the host will see your public profile, including your photos, menu items, and business description. They will make selections from a single list of profiles.

How do I get paid?

We provide three methods of payment: ACH (direct deposit), Bill Pay (mailed check), and Credit Card (invoice us). We process payments on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Each event type has a different system for payments:

  • Catering Events
  • Vending Events
    • You will be selling onsite, so your profit will come from sales. Some vending events offer a minimum guarantee. If your sales fall short of that guarantee, report your sales to receive compensation up to that guaranteed amount.

Who Do I Contact If I Need Help?

Take advantage of our Knowledge Base for comprehensive how-to guides. If you can't find an answer there, our Vendor Experience Team is here to help. Send them an email at vendors@roaminghunger.com, and they'll get back to you within 1-2 business days.

For questions about a specific event, you will be assigned an Event Coordinator. Their email address appears on the lead itself and in all event-related correspondence. They will be your go-to for client details, logistics, and payment status.

How Do I Get Started?
