I’m Confirmed for a Catering Event; Now What?

Congratulations on getting Confirmed for a catering event with Roaming Hunger. Now that the client has chosen you, here's what to expect between the date of confirmation and the date of the event:

Who am I working with?

You will work with the event host directly for this event. Their contact information will appear on the event lead immediately after you are Confirmed. You will also see an emergency contact from Roaming Hunger in case something goes wrong.

When do I receive final event details?

Immediately. Open the lead on your Dashboard to view date, time, address, guest count, payment, and additional details. If you need more specific information, please contact the host directly.

What can I do to prepare?

  1. Review the package that you have submitted to confirm what you will be serving.
  2. Complete your paperwork so Roaming Hunger can pay you for the event.
  3. Write down the host's contact information in case something goes wrong.

What should I do if the host cancels?

Inform the host of the cancellation fee outlined in their Customer Catering Agreement, and notify the RH emergency contact listed on the event lead.

Except in cases of  force majeure (natural disaster, government order, power outage, etc), you may be compensated up to 50% if the host cancels outside the 8-day lock period, up to 100% if canceled within the 8-day Lock Period.

What should I do if I need to cancel?

Inform the host as soon as possible, and notify the RH emergency contact listed on the event lead. Please review the Vendor Catering Agreement for our cancellation policy and any fees that may apply.

When will I get paid?

We process payments every Tuesday and Thursday. Confirm with your AM whether you are scheduled to be paid 100% after the event or have your payment split into a 25% deposit and 75% remainder. Whichever schedule you choose will apply to all future payments.

To avoid delays, please verify that you have met all paperwork requirements for your event.

Who am I working with?

You will have a Roaming Hunger Event Coordinator (EC) for this event. As soon as you are Confirmed, you will receive an email from your AM titled: "CONFIRMED CATERING - [Date] - [City, State] - $Budget"

Use this email to correspond with your EC. Request updates and points of contact if you have not received them yet. If you can't find their original email, their address is posted on the event lead:

When do I receive final event details?

Your EC will connect you with the host the week of the event. Until then, you may view date, time, address, guest count, and your payment amount by opening the lead on your Dashboard.

Your EC will notify you of cancellation. Except in cases of force majeure (natural disaster, government order, power outage, etc), you may be compensated up to 50% if the host cancels outside the 8-day lock period, up to 100% if canceled within the 8-day Lock Period.

What should I do if I need to cancel?

Contact your EC right away. Please note that, unless it is an emergency cancellation, you may be subject to penalties, as laid out in our Vendor Catering Agreement. Review that Agreement on the Terms & Documents page of your Roaming Hunger Dashboard.

When will I get paid?

PLEASE NOTE: Many large corporate clients have their own payment schedules. For this reason, it may take longer to be paid for this type of event.
