How Do I Optimize My Profile Photos?

While there are many ways to showcase food and food trucks, only a few formats will fit your Roaming Hunger profile. Upload new photos to your profile at the bottom of your Caterer Profile page.

This guide will help you optimize your profile photos to attract more clients and event leads. Please be aware that all photos are automatically cropped when they are uploaded.

  • Do take the photo outside during the day
  • Do center your vehicle or setup
  • Do submit separate profile and event photos
  • Do use horizontal photos
  • Do show off your unique branding
  • Do upload great photos of your food
  • Do use true-to-life colors
  • Do keep your space clean
  • Don't submit a dark or blurry photo
  • Don't hide your vehicle in the background
  • Don't combine multiple photos into one
  • Don't use vertical photos
  • Don't submit a photo you do not own*
  • Don't upload an image of your menu
  • Don't use filters or B&W images
  • Don't block the view with crowds, signs, or trashcans

*Please do not upload stock photos to your Roaming Hunger account.

VEHICLE/CATERING SET-UP

(PROFILE PHOTOS)

This photo is featured at the top of your Roaming Hunger profile and catering proposal. This is the first impression that clients see, so make the most of it! Auto crop: 1220 x 1000 pixels.

CATERING ACTION / STYLIZED PHOTOS

Clients want to know who is behind your amazing food. Once you complete your paperwork requirements, a photo gallery will open on your public profile. This is where you can show potential clients what your service would look like at their event. Auto crop: 1080 x 800 pixels

BUSINESS OWNER(S)

(VENDOR STORY)

Clients want to know who is behind your amazing food. This photo appears on your Roaming Hunger profile above your Vendor Story. Auto crop: 1080 x 800 pixels

Do's

DO focus on your face ✅ DO take a group photo if you have multiple business owners ✅ DO show your branding/personality ✅

Don'ts

DON'T include minors/children or customers ❌ DON'T get lost in a distracting background ❌ DON'T take photos at night or stand too far away ❌

PACKAGE PHOTOS

You can upload a unique photo to each catering package that you make or set a default package photo that appears on all of your packages. For maximum impact, use a nicely arranged food photo taken from above. Auto crop: 2280 x 680 pixels.

Do's

DO place a menu item in the center of the photo ✅ DO take the photo from above ✅ DO use props/serveware to fill the rectangle and show your brand ✅

Don'ts

DON'T zoom in or crop too closely ❌ DON'T leave the center empty ❌ DON'T show unappetizing items ❌

If you choose not to upload a default package photo, your packages will display your profile photo instead.

LOGO

Your logo will appear on all of your catering proposals. Auto crop:  720 pixels on smallest side
Do provide a large, high-quality logo that is not cut off ✅ Don't send a small, blurry, pixelated, or cut off logo ❌
