How Do I Book More with Roaming Hunger?
Maximize your experience on our platform with these four tips to book more with Roaming Hunger:
1. Apply to booking requests quickly
First come, first booked. The earlier you apply for an event, the sooner you get on the client's radar. If you're the first to apply, you'll have their full attention until the next vendor applies.
Event leads expire after 48 hours, but many clients make selections before that time is up.
2. Apply to as many booking requests as possible
Bid on all the opportunities that are right for you. Because many other vendors may be bidding, it’s not uncommon to get selected less than 10% of the time. So bid early, and bid often!
3. Give the client what they ask for
First, set up your menu completely with images and descriptive language for each item. (“fall-off-the-bone BBQ chicken” vs. “BBQ chicken”).
Next, tailor your catering packages for the specific event. If it’s a kids’ birthday party, simplify your offerings for both parents and kids. If they request vegetarian options, put those at the top of your package.
NOTE: Be careful not to submit a burger package when they ask for tacos or a dessert when they ask for a meal. If an event doesn't fit your business, go ahead and decline it. That will still boost your overall ranking.
4. Price to win
Client budgets are often posted on their event leads, but you can submit a counter-offer on their posted budget. We encourage vendors to price their packages competitively.
For instance, if four hot dog vendors apply to the same $800 event, but one submits a counter offer for $795, that proposal may have more appeal.
