How Do I Book More with Roaming Hunger?

Maximize your experience on our platform with these four tips to book more with Roaming Hunger:

1. Complete your profile setup

Most events will only accept bids from vendors whose profiles are complete. Show our agents that you are ready to book by completing all steps on your profile completeness meter. We recommend doing this on a desktop interface, not a mobile device.

2. Apply to event leads quickly

Event leads only post for 48 hours before they expire, but many clients make selections before that time is up. The earlier you apply for an event, the more likely you will be the client's first impression. Impress them first, and they might not even need to view the other applicants.

3. Apply to as many leads as possible

Bid on all the opportunities that are right for you. Because many other vendors may be bidding, it’s not uncommon to get selected less than 10% of the time. So bid early, and bid often! If you don't like a lead, tap "Not Interested" to clear it off your Dashboard.

4. Give the client what they ask for

First, set up your menu completely with descriptive language for each item. (“fall-off-the-bone, wood-smoked BBQ chicken” vs. “BBQ chicken”).

Next, tailor your catering packages for the specific event. If it’s a kids’ birthday party, simplify your offerings for both parents and kids. If they request vegetarian options, put those at the top of your package.

NOTE: Be careful not to submit a burger package when they ask for tacos, or a dessert when they ask for a meal. If an event doesn't fit your business needs, tap "Not Interested." That will still boost your overall ranking.

5. Price to win

Catering clients post their budgets on their event leads, but you can still submit a counter-offer on their posted budget. We encourage vendors to price their packages competitively.

For instance, if four hot dog vendors apply to the same $800 event, the vendor who submits the basics for $795, or the one with the extra gourmet choices for $820, will stand out.
