Are There Special Requirements for Canada?

Though Roaming Hunger is based in California, USA, we love working with vendors in Canada. The event booking process is the same no matter where you are in the world, but there are some key differences in our system that Canadian vendors should note:

Standards of Measure

At this time, our system can only accommodate United States customary units. If you are updating the Services page on your Dashboard, please convert kilometers to miles using a free online tool like this one.

Document Requirements

While you may see prompts related to an IRS Form W-9 on your Dashboard, this document is for USA-based businesses only. If you do business in Canada, you will need to fill out a Form W-8BEN or W-8BENE form, which you will upload when completing your Payment Details.

Payments

Unfortunately, we are unable to process ACH direct deposits across international borders. If you do business outside the USA, you have two options, which you may choose in Tab 2 of your Payment Details section: Check (slowest) or Local Wire Transfer (fastest). You may choose to receive payment in CAD or USD.

GST/HST

When you apply to a catering event, please factor GST/HST into your package subtotal so we can compensate you. See illustration below:
