How Do I Get Paid for a Catering Event?

Now that you've completed your catering event, let's get you paid. Once all requirements are met:

Roaming Hunger processes payments within seven (7) business days following the event date. An Expected Final Payout Date is posted on every confirmed catering event lead:

Payments do not arrive immediately.

  • ACH: Once processed, a bank may take 1-2 business days to clear a direct deposit payment.
  • Bill Pay: Once mailed, a check can take up to two weeks to arrive.
  • Local Wire Transfer: Like ACH, this may take 1-2 business days to clear; we recommend this option for Canadian vendors.

Requirements for Payment

A great way to know if you are set up for payment is to check your profile completeness meter. If it is below 83%, you will not be paid until you have completed the steps to bring it above 83% completion. Below is a list of minimum requirements to get paid for a Roaming Hunger event:

Overages

If you are serving at a catering event, and you believe you are about to serve more people than were originally quoted, you must contact your Event Coordinator right away. Your Event Coordinator is the one who will bill the client for overages. After the event, report the exact number of extra servings to your Event Coordinator. The sooner you notify your Event Coordinator, the sooner you will be paid for overages. We recommend not waiting too long before reporting, as this makes it harder to collect from the client.

Special Circumstances

Large corporate clients may have their own payment schedules. If you book a large corporate event through Roaming Hunger, payment may be delayed until we receive the full amount from the client. Check in with your Event Coordinator for updates. Their email address is posted on the event lead on your Dashboard.
