What Does the Client See When I Apply to An Event?
When you submit a bid for a Roaming Hunger event, your bid is added to a single proposal with all other applicants. The event host then selects the vendor(s) they want at their event. The rest are declined at once.
When you are confirmed for an event, you will receive an email notification and see the event clearly labeled Confirmed on your Roaming Hunger Dashboard. (log in here).
Catering Events(?)
For catering events, the client proposal shows the catering packages submitted for that event, in order of submission. Each package will feature each vendor's business name, the per-person price of the package, and the selection of menu items that guests will receive at that per-person price.
If you have additional fees or included gratuity, please factor those amounts into your per-person price before bidding. Fees and gratuity will not be itemized in your package.
To succeed in catering events, make sure your packages look great. Here's a checklist:
- Is your menu current? If not, check this article for how to update it.
- Is your package nicely organized into sections? (e.g. Mains, Sides, Drinks) If not, learn about Sections here.
- Are you giving the client a good view of your offerings? The more items you can offer at a competitive price, the more likely you are to get booked.
Vending Events(?)
Instead of packages, the client proposal will feature links to the applicants' public profiles. Event hosts will review each profile and make their decisions based on how it looks. Below, you'll see a sample profile:
